According to local tradition, a village of dwarfs once stood where a group of dolmens formerly existed. The site disappeared when the present-day waterworks were built.
A woman born in 1904, interviewed at the end of the twentieth century, recalled that the dwarfs were "as cunning as could be." If someone asked them for a cart to carry the dead, they would provide only the cart body—without wheels. One had to ask separately for the wheels before the cart could actually be used.
