Fairies / Fae
by @anton
The Good Ladies (Bonnes Dames), a local name for the fairies, were still believed to own property at the beginning of the twentieth century. The Fontenils Field near Pornic, covering more than 35 hectares, was listed as the exclusive property of the Bonnes Dames.
Although these fairies were generally regarded as benevolent, local tradition warned that anyone reckless enough to plough their land would die before the end of the year.
