The Kerbironné (Kerbobironed in breton) Spring was said to be the home of a band of korrigans who became so bold that they invaded the nearby village of Trépied (Treper), even entering people's houses.
To drive them away, the villagers placed eggshells filled with boiling water beside their hearths. Astonished by this strange sight, the korrigans exclaimed:
For two hundred years, We've been little korrigans, Never have we seen So many tiny boiling pots...
Embarrassed—or perhaps frightened—they fled and never returned.
