Fairies / Fae
by @anton
The Fairies of Tréguily are said to live on the far side of the River Don, a wilder land. They can be terrible when humans fail to respect them, making fields barren or casting curses. Thus, the Queen of the Fairies of Tréguily, Carabosse, who was often seen clinging to the cliffs overlooking the Don between Guémené-Penfao and Guénouvry, made flax cultivation impossible in the area after a group of young women mocked her ugliness.
The Fairies of Tréguily were also said to steal the children of nearby inhabitants.
It is also worth noting a theme that is particularly common in the Nantes region: fairies seek revenge against humans because of a wrong committed by humans.
